June 30 - Toll Group, a leading provider of integrated logistics services, has won a A$180 million (USD145 million) three year contract from Chevron Australia Pty Ltd's (Chevron) to manage and provide logistics services for the Barrow Island Supply Base.

Work will begin once government approvals have been received along with a final investment decision from the Gorgon Joint Venture participants, expected in the second half of this year.

"The Toll Group plans to execute the scope of work of this contract through the WA based operations of Toll Energy, which specialises in providing supply chain management and logistics services to the Oil and Gas exploration, construction and production industries in Australia," said Toll Group managing director Paul Little.

The Gorgon project is a joint venture between Chevron, ExxonMobil and Shell to develop the Greater Gorgon gas fields, which contain about 40 trillion cubic feet of gas.
