October 3 - Breakbulk China 2013 will attract 150 exhibitors and 5,000 qualified participants to the expo and two-day conference to network and discuss the future development of the industry and transportation solutions, say the organisers.
To be held from March 12 to 15, 2013 at Intex Shanghai, exhibitors include ocean carriers, freight forwarders, ports and logistics equipment manufacturers for the transport of project cargo, heavy lift and ro-ro logistics.
Already signed up are: the Port of Antwerp, Austral Asia Line, BBC Chartering, Chipolbrok, CMA CGM, Cosco, DHL, Hanssy Shipping, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Jurong Port, Maersk Line, NYK-Hinode, Rickmers Linie, Swire Shipping and Yusen Logistics.
In recent years, China has increasingly garnered the global spotlight with its growth in exports and imports of breakbulk and project cargo.
China's dynamic economy has become not only a huge consumer of raw materials and finished commodities for domestic use, but also a supplier to foreign infrastructure construction projects and one of the world's leading investors in countries seeking to boost their economies through development of natural resources that are both produced by and delivered to China.
Panelists during two days of the conference programme will discuss China's involvement in so much of the world's breakbulk and project cargo transportation and whether this trend will continue in coming years or slow down.
