The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) has been appointed as an End Point Assessor (EPA) for the level three standard Lifting Equipment Technician apprenticeship, which is currently under development.

The EPA takes place at the end of an apprenticeship and includes a set of theoretical and practical tests to ensure the participants are ready to move on from the training period.

It requires an independent organisation to be involved in the EPA of each apprentice to standardise the process. Only registered EPA organisations are eligible to conduct EPAs.
