June 30 - Classification society, ClassNK has released amendments to its Rules and Guidance for the Survey and Construction of Steel Ships.
The amendments, dated June 30, 2014, include requirements related to "Black-out Tests in Special Surveys", "Hull Surveys", "Plans and Procedures for Recovery of Persons from the Water" and lastly requirements related to "Strength Requirements for Ventilators and Air Pipes Fitted on Exposed Fore Decks".
The rules and guidance is available to purchase online, and the PDF is available for free via ClassNK's website, www.classnk.com for those who have registered to the ClassNK "My Page" service.
