December 13 - ALE has launched a new lightweight service crane at a client-only event in Breda, the Netherlands.

Over 50 of ALE's clients in the offshore and civil engineering sectors attended the event and heard Harrier Smetsers, manager of the research and development team that designed the crane, give a presentation about the company's latest innovation.

The lightweight service crane is designed out of modular parts that can be assembled by hand, explained ALE. Each component can fit in an elevator or be transported over an access walkway or stairs, making it suitable for use on global projects where space is limited and access difficult.

The crane is one of the first of a new range of lightweight service cranes and lifting structures, suitable for lifting equipment and modules. The cranes are certified for offshore, subsea and onshore operations.
