Fred. Olsen Windcarrier has renamed the jack-up vessel Seafox 5 to Blue Tern.

In December 2018, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier acquired a 51 percent ownership stake in the jack-up vessel from Seafox International Group. Fred. Olsen Windcarrier is responsible for the vessel’s commercial, technical and administrative management.

Blue Tern is a multipurpose, self-propelled DP2 jack-up construction vessel designed for offshore wind energy projects. It measures 151 m in length and has a breadth of 50 m, and can operate in water depths of up to 65 m.

The vessel has a 1,200-ton (1,089-tonne) lifting capacity main crane and can accommodate up to 150 personnel.
