ShipNext has formed a partnership with SEDNA, which develops cloud-based transaction management software.

The partnership combines SEDNA’s software with the ShipNext digital shipping marketplace and transportation platform, enabling organisations to digitise the workflow related to shipping, transportation and freight negotiations, explained the companies.

According to ShipNext, users dealing with dry bulk, wet bulk, heavy or oversized cargo will be able to get shipping solutions matched within their email flow or directly from the company, cutting the quantity of emails, requests and searches required.

Alexander Varvarenko, ceo of ShipNext, said that through the partnership, the two companies “are providing a solution that will save valuable time and reduce manual errors when initiating cargo-to-ship and ship-to-cargo matching”.

Noting the time – and money – currently spent on tasks that could be automated, SEDNA chief revenue officer Jean-Guy Faubert said: “Together we are modernising a legacy software system long neglected but too important to abandon as enterprise organisations manage an increasing amount of laborious workarounds.”
