Toft moves to MSC

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company has appointed Søren Toft as its chief executive officer (ceo).

HLPFI readers will recall that Toft stepped down as chief operating officer (coo) at rival A.P. Møller – Mærsk earlier this month. He will relocate to Geneva, Switzerland and his start date will be announced in due course, said MSC.

In his new role, Toft will report directly to Diego Aponte, group president, and Gianluigi Aponte, founder and group chairman.
