HLI has expanded its rail transport capabilities with the addition of fifteen 8-axle and 12-axle heavy-duty FD railcars now available for rail moves across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. These new assets complement HLI’s established fleet of 12, 16, and 20-axle railcars, giving a total of 19 railcars and 2 cabooses, enabling the company to handle a wide range of oversized and overweight cargo by rail.
This strategic investment comes in response to growing customer demand for logistics partners who own and control their equipment. To better meet that need, HLI established its own heavy haul division in San Antonio, TX three years ago to complement its existing Laredo, TX operation. The division operates multiple dual-lane trailers capable of hauling up to 500,000 pounds, along with jack-and-slide systems for safe loading and unloading.
HLI also offers nearly 50 acres of storage and staging space throughout Texas, equipped with cranes and material-handling equipment. By combining rail, road, and storage capabilities under one company, HLI delivers dependable, turnkey transport solutions from factories worldwide to locations throughout the US, Mexico, and Canada with confidence and expertise.”
