AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) and Atran Airlines, both part of the Volga-Dnepr Group, delivered 170 tons (154.2 tonnes) of medical equipment from Moscow to Krasnoyarsk, Russia.
Within two days, three freighters delivered masks, beds, mattresses, and artificial respiration units onboard Boeing 747-8F and 737-800BCF aircraft.
The cargo was then transported to Kyzyl by road.
“Since the outbreak [of Covid-19], we have been working on the enhancement and adjustment of our services, adapting them to strict safety measures throughout the whole supply chain, and sharpening the expertise of our specialists,” explained Nikolay Glushnev, general director of ABC.
In the first six months of 2020, ABC and Atran transported more than 20,000 tons (18,143.7 tonnes) of medical cargo to combat the virus and limit its spread.
