India’s J M Baxi Heavy has loaded-out a 6,700-tonne platform topside module at Larsen & Toubro’s yard in Hazira.
The TP 13 platform topside was transported using 260 axle lines and 12 power pack units (PPU), totalling 2,080 tyres, along with 85 ballast pumps.
After a two and half-hour transport from the yard, the module arrived at the jetty on March 7. Later in the evening, the load-out operation onto the barge began before the module was positioned on the barge’s pre-placed grillage.
