Melbourne-headquartered TSL Australia has discharged 12 oversized breakbulk units at Port Kembla, having been shipped from Phú Mỹ, Vietnam.
The 2,400 cu m shipment arrived on a part-charter vessel, with individual units reaching up to 7 m in height and width, and the heaviest piece weighing 52 tonnes. These dimensions necessitated over-height port access, specialised rigging, and meticulous vessel-to-truck organisation.
Without pausing the discharge, pontoons had to be repositioned, and rigging methods reworked during operations. Taking 15 hours, seven units were rolled out the same day, with four tank sections stored securely overnight and delivered the following morning.
TSL Australia is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN).
Back in May 2025, HLPFI reported that TSL Australia had coordinated an arch delivery from Auckland, New Zealand, to Melbourne.
