Rhenus transported a steam turbine rotor from Accra in Ghana to Ahmedabad, India. The logistics company redesigned the frame of the aircraft to include a 4 cm clearance with a special loading ramp so that the out-of-gauge cargo could fit in the aircraft.

The Rhenus team in India oversaw Customs clearance, crane handling at the airport, and the transport to the consignee’s site.

The second delivery involved a couple of rotor casings, which Rhenus transported from China to Germany. The casings were shipped faced down without a shipping frame and were protected by wood and rubber mats during the move.

The Rhenus team in China coordinated the necessary Customs clearance and permits, inland transportation, and crane handling at the airport.
