India’s SARR Freights has completed a series of complex transport assignments, including the shipment of a workover rig from Houston to Mumbai, the road haulage of a 500 MW rotor, and the movement of oversized machinery within India.

For one project, SARR Freights transported a single roll heavy machinery piece from Nhava Sheva to Rourkela, both in India.

In one project, SARR Freights coordinated delivery of a workover rig from Houston, USA to Mumbai, India, under free on board (FOB) terms. The project involved the handling and delivery of breakbulk and containerised cargo; SARR Freights’ project team managed end-to-end import operations whilst complying with all international shipping protocols.

In a separate project, the company completed an intra Indian road transportation of a 80-tonne, 500 MW rotor from Jhajjar to Anpara. This involved planning, lashing and securing, safe transit, and precise unloading of the cargo.

Another pan-Indian project saw SARR Freights transport machinery, which had a unit weight of 48.6 tonnes and measured 5.94 m x 2.75 m x 1.63 m, from Nhava Sheva to Rourkela. The company – a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India – was on hand to prepare the route and to deliver the component securely and on time.
