Sea Cargo Air Cargo Logistics Inc (SCACLI) has completed its scope in the L.F. Wade international airport redevelopment project in Bermuda.

The project began in March 2017 and saw the construction of a 288,000 sq ft (26,756 sq m) terminal, additional apron space, light systems installations, modifications to the taxiway, the installation of aircraft hydrant refuelling systems and the decommissioning of the majority of the current terminal.

SCACLI was nominated to manage and oversee all the transportation requirements.

Maria Misurka, coo and partner, explained: “Moving cargo to Bermuda had its unique challenges and as the project manager, the Bermuda team and I found solutions with our many partnerships and contacts around the world.

“SCACLI’s role consisted of project management, marshalling, and cargo movements from origins such as USA, Canada, UK, Spain, China, and the Netherlands.”

The scope involved organising chartered vessels, barge movements and the mobilisation of heavy equipment. Additionally, SCACLI arranged ocean container shipping and air charter shipping on behalf of the customer and ITS subcontractors.

SCACLI is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN).
