June 15 - Antonov Airlines has presented two new freighter aircraft at the Paris Air Show, including an AN-178 and AN-132 new-generation model.
The AN-178 aircraft has a payload of 18 tonnes, and can operate from any runway, including those with artificial pavement, unpaved airfields and alpine airdromes.
Antonov predicts that 1,100 of its new AN-178 aircraft will be sold by 2035.
The AN−132 freighter is intended for carrying various cargoes weighing over 9 tonnes on short and medium haul routes. Antonov says that it is an optimal decision for replacement of the AN−32 and AN−26 aircraft.
