July 22 - Volga-Dnepr Group president Alexey Isaikin has been awarded fellowship of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) in recognition of his contribution to the industry.

RAeS president Martin Broadhurst said: "Fellowship is the highest grade attainable and is only bestowed upon those who have made an outstanding contribution to the profession, attained a position of high responsibility, and/or have had a long experience of high quality in the profession."

Isaikin founded Volga-Dnepr Airlines back in 1990 and served as chairman of the board, executive director and general director of the Russian airline until 2002, when he took on the role of Volga-Dnepr Group president.

His fellowship comes as the group, which now encompasses over 20 companies, prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
