Romas Marine – a family company specialised in the marketing and sales of special offshore and subsea assets such as jack-up barges, derrick lay barges, pipe-lay barges and AHC cranes – is selling two impressive offshore cranes.

Romas Marine is pleased to announce the availability of the 150 tons Liebherr Litronic MTC 6000-150 crane, available in Rotterdam.

Romas Marine’s Liebherr crane

The Liebherr MTC 6000-150 Litronic offers 150 tons (136 tonnes) of lifting capacity. Built in 2007, the offshore crane has a minimum working radius of 11 m, and a maximum of 44.9 m. Weighing 254 tons (230 tonnes), it is powered by an 690 kW electric motor (440V/60 Hz) and can operate at a working depth of 560 m.

As far as Romas Marine is aware, it is the only readily available 150-ton SWL crane of its kind currently available on the market. It is well suited for large accommodation vessels/barges, semi-submersible rigs, pipelay barges, wind farm construction, support vessels, and jack-ups etc.

Romas Marine’s Huisman crane

Also available to purchase from Romas Marine, is a Huisman lattice boom crane. The pedestal-mounted offshore crane (PMOC) offers a maximum working radius of 38.5 m. Its maximum lifting capacity is 26 tonnes whilst the jib is operating within a radius of 7.8 to 33.1 m. The hook travel amounts to approximately 70 m.

The Huisman crane is fully electrically-driven. The winches for hoisting and luffing are built into the crane house, above the slew bearing. This makes the PMOC fully revolving, because the winches and hoist wires rotate alongwith the crane house and present no limitation to the slewing movement. The electrical power is transferred by means of a slipring.

Romas Marine is a family company led by Roland C. Brautigam who has been active in the Shipbroking industry, in particular in the offshore, towage and salvage segments since the late eighties. Since 2010 Romas has established itself as a reputable and reliable partner for many companies large and small such as SAIPEM, Boskalis, Global Offshore, Heerema, ESSAR, EDT, UP Offshore, and Micoperi.
