Germany-based BKL Baukran Logistik is investing in 90 mobile and tower cranes to bolster its equipment fleet. The orders were placed at bauma 2025 in Munich.
The investment includes 25 mobile cranes and 65 tower cranes, with BKL adding two LTM 1400-6.1 cranes from Liebherr. These 6-axle models have a 70 m telescopic boom, a maximum lifting height of 120 m and are the smallest crane with a Y-telescopic boom guying system. They have a lifting capacity of 400 tonnes apiece as well as a maximum radius of 96 m.
Liebherr is supplying all 25 mobile cranes for BKL, which will deploy them at nine of its locations, as well as several tower cranes – both in the top-slewing category and the bottom-slewing category.
BKL has also taken delivery of the TLS 1100 50T from Sáez Cranes, which lifts loads of up to 50 m and has a maximum hook height of 92 m along with a maximum radius of up to 86 m.
With a fleet of more than 700 construction and mobile cranes, BKL rents out more than 40 heavy-duty cranes ranging from 500 to 1,100 tonne-m.
