November 11 - ALE mobilised one of its largest cranes to complete a brace of installation projects in Australia.

The 1,350-tonne lift capacity Liebherr LR 11350 was used to successfully complete the transport and installation of carbon dioxide absorber column weighing 650 tonnes in Darwin.

The LR 11350 was also used to execute another job in Cape Lambert, where two 400-tonne car dumper cells were installed.

"With limited space for the positioning and manoeuvring of the crane on a live gas plant, the lift and transport planning were carefully engineered to complete the operation safely," said ALE's projects and technical director in Darwin, Filippo Anello.

"We completed the installation in three days. Just like the car dumper installation job in Cape Lambert, by using our specialist equipment and offering a bespoke and safe turnkey solution, we provided the tools and engineering expertise to complete the job within the timeframes and constraints of the clients."
