April 1 - Air Menzies International (AMI) has opened two new offices in Darwin, Australia and Christchurch in New Zealand.

AMI Darwin has been opened in response to current and planned major energy projects in the area, including the AUD34 billion Ichthys LNG Project being developed by Inpex.

The new Australian office will provide scheduled import and export airfreight services, charter services, project forwarding, breakbulk, ocean services, clearance and local collection and delivery, as well as providing AMI's global network with access to the northern region of Australia.

In Christchurch, AMI has opened a new base as a satellite to its existing office in Auckland, which will offer global export and import consolidations via major gateways.
