July 28 - Chapman Freeborn has successfully coordinated a B747-8F cargo charter to transport a 77-tonne load from Stuttgart, Germany to Houston in the USA.

The operation, which utilised an Atlas Air B747-8F aircraft, marked the first ever 747-8F charter from Stuttgart Airport.

Chapman Freeborn explained that special permits had to be obtained and dedicated equipment had to be brought into the airport to serve the aircraft.

"When an aircraft type operates out of an airport for the first time, it is really important to have an experienced charter broker working on the operation to assist with special permits and unique equipment requirements," commented Bettina Kaufmann, general manager of Chapman Freeborn Germany.
