BigLift transports five mobile cranes to Nigeria

May 23 - BigLift Shipping has used its heavy lift ship, Happy Dragon, to transport five mobile cranes for leading crane manufacturers Liebherr and Gottwald from Germany and Belgium to Nigeria.

BigLift says that the five mobile cranes were carried in one shipment, with one crane being placed on the tanktop, using the open hatch sailing capability.

Three Liebherr cranes were loaded in Rostock, Germany, then discharged in Apapa, Nigeria. They were loaded in two pieces, with the jibs being stowed separately.

Two Gottwald cranes were loaded in Antwerp, Belgium, then discharged in Lagos, Nigeria. Both were handled as one item.
