August 31 - Bristol Port has seen an increase of wind turbine shipments coming through the port for the construction of the Alveston wind farm in South Gloucestershire, UK.

Three 100 m high turbines will be installed at the wind farm, which Bristol Port claims will be the first wind farm in the region.

The turbine components arrived at the port from Portugal, and were unloaded and transferred to storage areas at the port.

According to local media reports, the site is due to be completed and connected to the National Grid by the end of 2017.
