February -19- BLSE Malta is expanding its breakbulk services to the Indian sub continent, with regular calls at Mumbai and Chennai / Mundra on inducement.

The line is targetting cargoes from the Middle East Gulf to India and return cargo from India to Mediterranean and North European ports.

BSLE Malta has since its inauguration developed into a well known and respected international breakbulk carrier offering two separate services from ports in North West Europe and the Adriatic to the Red Sea and Middle Eastern ports.

The vessels employed are particularly suitable for shipping heavy lift, steel and general cargoes and monthly sailings are made from both North West Europe and the Adriatic.

The service from North West Europe operates from the base ports of Antwerp and Hamburg, with other ports (such as Teesport in the UK) called on inducement. Vogt & Maguire is the UK agent.

Between the Adriatic and the Middle East / India, Venice, Ravenna and Koper are the base ports for the monthly service.

The two strings are served by seven self-geared tweendeck ships with a lifting capacity of up to 400 tonnes, which are perfectly suitable for steel, breakbulk and project cargoes.

The multi-purpose container ship, BSLE Express, seen below, is one of the fleet.
