Canaveral ceo steps down

September 24 - Effective January 21, 2016, Port Canaveral ceo John E. Walsh will step down from the role.

Walsh began his tenure with Canaveral Port Authority in Feburary 2011 as deputy director of infrastructure, construction and real estate.

No decision has been made yet regarding his successor, confirmed the US port.

According to reports in the international media, the port commissioners voted to force Walsh out of the role after growing criticism following a clash with local officials over a port railroad expansion plan.
