Here is this week's round-up of capital projects and contracts.

This week we have seen a Foster Wheeler subsidiary awarded a contract for the design and supply of a heat recovery steam generator, MHI announce that it is to build a large scale ammonia and urea fertiliser production plant for Turkmenhimiya, and Skanska sign a contract with AB Stockholmshem to construct five houses in Stockholm.

A subsidiary of Foster Wheeler AG's Global Power Group has been awarded a contract by Iberdrola, for the design and supply of a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). The unit will be installed at a cogeneration plant that Iberdrola is building at the Kimberly Clark de Mexico Ramos Arizpe Facility in Coahuila, Mexico.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), working jointly with GAP Insaat Yatirim ve Dis Tiscaret A.S., a Turkish construction company and Mitsubishi Corporation, is to build a large scale ammonia and urea fertiliser production plant for Turkmenhimiya (TH), a state-owned chemical company in Turkmenistan.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), in cooperation with Mitsui & Co., Ltd., has also received an order from the Concessionária Move São Paulo for the turnkey construction and delivery of the fully automated driverless system for the São Paulo Metro Line 6.

Kvaerner and KBR, Inc will establish a joint venture to competitively bid on offshore platform topsides contracts for the Johan Sverdrup field development offshore Norway.

KBR, Inc. has been awarded a contract from Gemini HDPE LLC, a manufacturing joint venture between INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA (INEOS) and Sasol, to provide engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for a new high-density polyethylene (HDPE) facility to be located at INEOS's Battleground Manufacturing Complex in La Porte, Texas.

DONG Energy and MHI Vestas Offshore Wind have reached a conditional agreement for the purchase of 32 units of MHI Vestas Offshore Wind's V164-8.0MW offshore wind turbine for installation at the Burbo Bank Extension project in Liverpool Bay off the north-western coast of England.

ABB has successfully developed and tested a 525 kilovolt (kV) extruded high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cable system to make renewable energy installations more efficient and cost-effective.

The EnLink Midstream companies, EnLink Midstream Partners, LP and EnLink Midstream, LLC, are to construct a new 45-mile, eight inch condensate pipeline and six natural gas compression and condensate stabilisation facilities that will service major producer customers in the Utica Shale, including Eclipse Resources.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has completed Huntsman Pigments' new EUR38 million (USD50.4 million) iron sulfate plant at its titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigment manufacturing facility in Scarlino, Italy.

Norwegian prime minister Erna Solberg has officially opened the Statoil-operated Gudrun platform in the North Sea. This is the first new Statoil-operated platform on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) since Kristin in 2005.

Skanska has signed a contract with AB Stockholmshem to construct five houses in Stockholm, Sweden.

Bechtel has successfully hydro tested two additional liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks built on Curtis Island in Queensland. The tests confirm that the tanks built for the Australia Pacific LNG and Santos GLNG plants are ready to store LNG and follow the successful test of a tank at the Queensland Curtis LNG project earlier this year.

PRPC Refinery and Cracker Sdn. Bhd.
has awarded Técnicas Reunidas a contract for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) for a refinery package in PETRONAS' Refinery and Petrochemicals Integrated Development (RAPID) project in Pengerang, Johor, Malaysia.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has been awarded a contract worth KRW380 billion (USD370 million) by Korea District Heating Corporation to supply the integrated energy systems to be built in Dongtan 2 New City, a city being created in Hwaseong, just south of Seoul in South Korea.

Vestas and EP Global Energy have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand its existing Wind for Prosperity collaboration into Africa. Vestas and EP Global Energy have been working since March 2014 on developing a donor-funded wind farm in Jordan to help the country address its growing energy challenges, which are being exacerbated by the influx of refugees as a result of the ongoing conflict in Syria. The project is expected to be completed during 2015.

CB&I has been awarded a contract by Polski Koncern Naftowy Orlen S.A. (PKN) for the license and engineering design of a new on-purpose propylene production unit to be located in Plock, Poland.
