C.H. Robinson expands European footprint

November 19 - C.H. Robinson has opened a new office in Basel, Switzerland, managed by Ildiko Gergely (pictured), who has been with the company since 2000.

C.H. Robinson established a presence in Europe 20 years ago and has since built a network of 52 offices with over 1,000 employees.

In the last 16 months, C.H Robinson has named Bryan Foe as European president; Gary York as director of sourcing for Europe; and Ivo Aris as director of European global forwarding, reported by HLPFI on August 16, 2013.

In September of this year, the company also announced that it had completed the acquisition of Apreo Logistics, which now operates under C.H. Robinson's name.
