Clipper names Norborg

December 14 - Effective April 1, 2016, Peter Norborg will become ceo of Clipper Group, with Frank G. Jensen continuing as chairman of the board of the company.

"I am excited to have Peter Norborg on board Clipper as Group ceo," Frank G. Jensen says.

"Norborg is one of the most skilled and experienced dry bulk executives in the current shipping community, and I am convinced that he is the right man to lead Clipper for many years to come.

"He has a keen commercial mindset and sharp customer focus, as well as great leadership skills and extensive experience from the dry bulk business. We couldn't have found a better man for the job."

Norborg, 49, was previously chief operating officer at Switzerland-based open hatch/dry bulk company Gearbulk, a position he has held since 2012. Before that, he spent 14 years at D/S Norden, latest as executive vice president and head of its dry cargo division. Norborg will commence work for Clipper on April 1, 2016.
