March 17 - A tandem lift was required to load a 616-tonne stinger onboard Cosco Shipping's multipurpose heavy lift ship, Da Kang, for delivery to Port Pasir Gudang in Malaysia.
The shipping line's marine technical centre was instructed to prepare a loading programme for the huge stinger, which had the overall dimensions of 58 × 17 × 11 m, and a port captain was dispatched in advance to inspect the loading site.
At Port Pasir Gudang, floating cranes were deployed to unload the stinger.
