Multipurpose operator Swire Projects has transported five gas metering skids, plus accessories, from Port Klang, Malaysia to Dampier, Western Australia.

Commissioned as part of the Pluto Train 1 Scarborough Modifications Project, the 1,135 cu m shipment was delivered aboard Pacific Fortitude.

Pluto Train 1 Scarborough Modifications project involves extensive upgrades to the Woodside-operated Pluto LNG Train 1 facility, with these upgrades set to enable the facility to process gas from the Scarborough Gas Field, which is off the coast of Western Australia. Once operational, the upgraded facility will significantly boost LNG production.

Transporting the gas metering skids required precise engineering and careful handling, said Swire Projects. The company worked closely with stakeholders to manage complex logistics, regulatory compliance, and time-sensitive coordination at both origin and destination ports.

HLPFI reported last month that Swire Projects had delivered wind turbine towers from Indonesia to Sweden.
