October 18 - Dako Worldwide Transport has coordinated the delivery of three 320-tonne engines from the Port of Saint-Nazaire in France to Bangladesh.

The engines - each of which measured 12.9 m x 4.75 m x 6.5 m - were loaded onto a heavy lift vessel, equipped with two 400-tonne capacity cranes, for shipment to the Port of Mongla.

On arrival in Bangladesh, the units were unloaded using the ship's gear directly onto a barge.

Dako explained that the engines, which were destined for a power plant in the country, had very high centres of gravity, meaning that extra care was necessary to avoid any accidents.

Dako Worldwide Transport is a member of the Global Project Logistics Network (GPLN) in Germany.
