DB Schenker expands in New Zealand

August 31 - DB Schenker will expand its presence in New Zealand with the acquisition of SB Global Logistics.

DB Schenker, which has had a longstanding relationship with SB Global Logistics as a network partner in New Zealand, will strengthen its offering to its customers in the country by expanding its presence in the South Island.

The multinational's global network will be supplemented by SB Logistics' local strengths, adding over 50 members of staff to the New Zealand operation along with a state of the art facility in Christchurch, which opened in 2014.

The Christchurch operations of SB Global Logistics will continue "business as usual" the company said in a statement, ensuring that customer requirements will continue to be met.

SB Global Logistics' management team will remain in the business and ensure a smooth transition.
