January 20 - Russian multimodal transport holding company and ro-ro operator Fesco has delivered Deere-Hitachi forestry excavators from the Port of Everett, Washington state to John-Deere Construction and Forestry in Russia.

British Columbia-based Deere-Hitachi moves approximately 20-30 excavators annually to various locations in Russia, including Bratsk, Khabarovsk and Irkutsk.

Fesco is expanding into terminal and port ownership in Western and Far East Russia and the Black Sea and claims to be the only deep-sea shipping operator offering direct service between North America and the Russian Far East.
