Based on F&G’s WindSetter class of wind turbine installation vessels, the FO-146 can accommodate up to five 18 MW or four 20 MW wind turbine generator sets, including full-height towers on its main deck.

Capable of operating at a depth of 80 m and featuring a 3,200-tonne capacity leg encircling crane, the FO-146 has the reach and capacity to install wind turbine foundations exceeding 3,000 tonnes.

Plans are under way for the construction of at least two units, in order to meet growing demand in both the USA and other global offshore markets, said the companies.
