January 8 - Greencarrier Shipping & Logistics has opened a new office in Stavanger, Norway and appointed Georg Skivik Moltu as its new director of global energy and project solutions.

The Scandinavian company, which offers the full range of freight forwarding and logistics services, plans to expand its services to the oil and gas industry, and has identified project forwarding and the energy industry as two of its main target areas for growth in 2014.

Moltu is based at the new Stavanger office, which became operational on January 1 and is headed up by Ronny Johannessen, who has significant experience in freight forwarding and transportation.

"We have already entered into several contracts and we are confident that the market will appreciate a Scandinavian-owned logistics and transport company as a challenger to the major global logistics players," said Moltu.
