Harbor Freight battles against time

September 6 - Harbor Freight Transport has arranged the speedy movement of five heavy generators from the port of Newark, New York.

The cargo consisted of five generators for Rolls Royce, each weighing in at about 100 tonnes and measuring 9.1 m x 4.9 m x 3.4 m. Additionally there was almost 227 tonnes of miscellaneous cargo to transport.

Having been stored in bond for about one year, all five units needed to be transported and loaded on to an ACL vessel in the port of Newark. Harbor Freight was only given two days' notice of the job and thus had just three days to complete it.

Harbor Freight Transport is a member of the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) network in Newark, New York.
