April 12 - Berard recently transported a 13.6-tonne electrical building from Houston, Texas to Killdeer, North Dakota, using a nine-axle extendable drop deck trailer.

Berard completed this project on a turnkey basis including organising all permits, escorts and trucks required for the 2,156-mile (3,470-km) journey, which was completed on schedule over six days.

In Arkansas, Berard utilised six axle lines of self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT), and a 300-tonne skidding system, to move four 100-tonne transformers from rail to pad.

Over the course of four days, the transformers were carefully offloaded from railcars onto the SPMTs, transported to the project site, before being skidded-off and lowered onto their respective pads.

Another project executed by the Louisiana headquartered logistics specialist saw five 22.67-tonne crated skids transported by road from its home state to the Port of Houston, Texas. Berard secured all the necessary permits and permissions to complete the move, which included a contraflow on certain roadways, to reach the final destination.
