July 15 - Belgium's Heavy International Services NV has established three new companies in order to split its business operations.
Marc Rombouts, the company's managing director, said the move was in response to an "obligation to follow new legislation regarding piloting".
The new companies are Heavy Logistics NV, Heavy Permits and Pilots NV and Heavy IWD NV.
Heavy IWD will distribute machinery through Europe, via Antwerp, while Heavy Logistics will focus on port transshipment, Rombouts said.
