August 12 - Hamburg based shipbroker Hanseatic Break Bulk (HBB) has worked together with liner agent Nepa Shipping to arrange the transport of 150 individual wind turbine blades from China to the USA on board the newbuild heavy lift vessel Chipolbrok Atla

On its maiden voyage, the 32,000 dwt vessel delivered the 50 m long blades from north China to the US west coast.

The blades, which are destined for two separate onshore wind farms under construction in North Dakota, were stacked on the vessel's deck in five tiers. A second ship is set to deliver more cargo for the same project in September.
