Like all of Höegh Autoliners’ Aurora Class vessels, Höegh Sunrise is LNG-powered.

Part of Höegh Autoliners’ largest and most environmentally friendly car carrier class currently in operation, Höegh Sunrise is on its way to Shanghai for bunkering before heading to Japan. Here, it will load its first batch of cargoes for onward travel to Europe.

Höegh Sunrise has a 9,100 ceu capacity and can be connected to the grid while ashore, meaning that its auxiliary engines can be turned off whilst cargo operations take place at ports.

In January 2025, Höegh registered its fourth Aurora Class vessel, Höegh Sunlight.
