March 24 - Intermarine, the agent for Industrial Maritime Carriers and West Coast Industrial Express has announced that the carriers will revise the bunker surcharges on all their services to/from South America, Mexico and the Caribbean effective April 22

The Bunker Surcharges effective April 22, 2011 will be as follows: North, East, and West Coasts of South America including the Caribbean and Mexico: Breakbulk USD48.00 w/m as freighted (minimum USD48.00); containers 20ft USD395.00 per unit; and 40ft USD695.00 per unit.

The Bunker Surcharges effective May 15, 2011 will be as follows: North, East, and West Coasts of South America including the Caribbean and Mexico: Breakbulk USD53.00 w/m as freighted (minimum USD53.00); containers 20ft USD395.00 per unit; and 40ft USD695.00 per unit.

The surcharges apply to all inbound and outbound cargoes and will be effective for all cargoes loaded to carrier's vessels on or after April 22, 2011 and May 15, 2011 respectively.
