March 10 - Kaleido has completed a project to transport components for 43 wind turbines from China, Vietnam and Spain to the Mexican Port of Altamira for installation at a wind farm site in Jalisco.

The 43 turbines were delivered to Mexico in nine separate shipments. 19 nacelles, 19 hubs, 19 cones and 33 blades were shipped from Bilbao, Spain to Altamira; 24 nacelles, 24 hubs and 24 cones originated in Sagunto, Spain; 96 wind turbine blades were moved from China's Dafeng port to Mexico; while 172 wind turbine tower sections were delivered from Vietnam's Phu My port.

Kaleido was responsible for the sea freight and overland transport, as well as port operations and lashing and welding works.

During the project Kaleido deployed its certified tool designed for the calculation and reporting of emissions, Karbon Track, which evaluates the environmental impact of the entire logistics contract.
