Since the end of its production, rumours of its resumed manufacture have been as regular as they have been wrong.

And the latest such rumours suggest that Boeing may take over the final assembly of the AN-124 for use in the US market, with reports indicting that both the Russian and US governments have discussed the matter and taken it up with Boeing.
