McDermott inks Trinidad project

December 15 - McDermott International was awarded a contract for the transport and installation of a 1,000-tonne deck and 1,600-tonne jacket for an upstream project offshore Trinidad, West Indies.

The contract also includes the fabrication, reel-lay and pre-commissioning of 4,267 m of 14-inch (0.35 m) pipeline, as well as the pull-in of a 12-inch (0.3 m) riser at an existing offshore platform. These works will be completed using McDermott vessels Derrick Barge 50 and North Ocean 105.

The entire project is expected to take place during the third quarter of 2016. The pipeline will be welded at McDermott's new Gulfport, Mississippi, spoolbase.
