November 21 - Michael S. Ferguson has accepted the position of president for Metro Ports, replacing former interim president Norman Hauser.

Ferguson, who will join Metro Ports on January 5, 2015, will have national authority and responsibility for operations and business development of the companies operating under the Metro Ports banner, which includes port operations in the West, Gulf and East coasts, as well as at Prince Rupert in British Columbia, Canada.

He will report to Nautilus International Holding's chief operating officer Michael Giove, and will be based in Fair Play, South Carolina.

Ferguson has held various management positions in the industry, including serving as vice president, cargo solutions at Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), where he developed dry bulk and breakbulk terminals in North America, Africa and southwest Asia.
