August 5 - Noble Shipping has coordinated the transport of 73 units of military cargo from the Jordanian port of Aqaba to Karachi, Pakistan.

The consignment had a total volume of 2,400 cu m. Noble Shipping explained that the booked vessel had a full deck space available, as well as a little room in the tween deck.

However, said Noble Shipping's managing director Mohammad Inam, prior to completion of the loading process, the vessel staff declared that it would only be possible for 62 of the units to be loaded onboard the ship.

Since this was not an acceptable solution, Noble Shipping suggested that the cargo be re-stowed and temporary platforms be built to extend the space between the hatches, in order for all units to be accommodated.

Noble Shipping is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN) in Pakistan.
