June 8 - Dragages Hongkong has used its Nicolas MHD G2 SPE modules to transport pre-cast bridge elements for the construction of a 9.4 km long viaduct section as part of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao bridge project.

As part of the huge bridge development, the Hong Kong Link Road project involves the design and construction of a viaduct section from the Hong Kong Boundary to Scenic Hill on Airport Island, supporting two three-lane carriageways over deep water.

According to Nicolas, the bridge is the first one in Hong Kong that uses a pre-stressed and pre-cast pier structure.

Jannick Mathieu, area manager, sales at TII Sales, explained that the Nicolas MHD G2 SPE is in use around the world under the toughest conditions, including in salty air and dusty environments.

The Nicolas vehicle is available as two, three, four, five and six-axle modules, and can be equipped with a 215 or 410 horsepower Tier IV final PowerPack module.
