Norrlandskranar acquired by Havator Group

October 11 - Havator AB has acquired all shares in Norrlandskranar AB and its affiliated subsidiaries Norrlandskranar i J

The companies have offices in Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik, Härnösand and Östersund, Sweden and currently have 35 employees and a turnover amounting to around SEK49 million (EUR5.39 million / USD7.35 million). 

The primary focus of the purchased operations is mobile crane services in central Sweden, with a 20-strong crane fleet in the 10-300 tonne lift capacity range.

"The acquisition of Norrlandskranar AB is yet another step in the strategic development of Havator in which the goal is a well-functioning network of depots within Sweden. Norrlandskranar AB, which has a good reputation and long experience within the industry, fits in well with this strategic construction. The position of Havator in Central Sweden will be strengthened even more through the acquisition resulting in even better possibilities for fulfilling the needs of our customers in a more effective manner. The industry is becoming more complex and more and more is required of the supplier making this kind of structuring absolutely necessary. With a greater base in Central Sweden, the possibility for good availability, better security, more effective customer solutions increases, benefiting both Havator and its customers", says Peter Nilsson, director of operations Sweden. 

Havator Group is a business with operations that involve crane services, special and heavy transport, section assembly and harbour crane operations. Previously, it had crane operations at Uppsala, Sundsvall and Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. Other Havator crane operations in Sweden are in Nyköping, Norrköping, Motala, Gothenburg, Stenungsund as well as in Umeå, Skellefteå, Piteå, Luleå, Kalix and Kiruna.
