July 12 - NYK's new ro-ro vessel Iris Leader has arrived at Jaxport's Blount Island Marine Terminal, marking its first ever port call in the USA.
Iris Leader is also the first ship to call at Jaxport after passing through the newly expanded locks of the Panama Canal.
The NYK ship is 15 ft (4.5 m) wider than the Japanese shipping line's previous ro-ro vessels, increasing its capacity by 1,500 cars.
